UNIVERSITY PERTANIAN MALAYSIA

University anaerobic digestion specialists carried out an independent third-party lab scale study to confirm beneficial
impact of adding BIOLOGICTM SR2 to anaerobic filter lab scale digesters. Control (No SR2) tests and SR2 treated tests were carried out in triplicate to ensure valid results.

POME Characteristics


SciCorp recommended dosage of 10 ml/gm BOD.

BOD – 12,320 mg/l

COD – 19,520 mg/l

TSS – 7,400 mg/l

Results Achieved


  • 100% increase in biogas production after only 4 days of using BIOLOGICTM SR2
  • Significant 4% improvement in COD/BOD reduction achieved after 4 days of using BIOLOGICTM SR2
  • Significant improvement in TSS Reduction achieved in 4 days of treatment

High 100% increase in biogas production indicates high potential of reactor to be operated at a significantly higher organic loading rate without loss in performance efficiency.

Due to time limitation, the test was only run for 4 days. Typically, 30 days is required for the full effect of BIOLOGICTM SR2 to be realized on reactor performance.

BIOLOGICTM SR2 is highly effective in:

Increasing biogas production

Increasing destruction of COD/BOD/TSS
